Partner Program
The Partner Program pays you a share of what the businesses you refer spend on Versafy. If you consult for other companies, run an agency, speak at industry events, or simply recommend Versafy to people who ask, every client who signs up through your link keeps earning for you as long as they keep paying — not once at signup.
You can also give part of your commission back to the client as Versafy balance. A link that says “10% of your payments comes back to you” is easier to share than a plain recommendation, and the cost still comes out of your own commission, never out of your pocket.
Earnings collect on a partner balance that is separate from your workspace wallet. You decide what happens to them: move them to your wallet to pay for your own usage, or request a cash payout — whichever of these is available.
Before you start
- You need the Partner Program permission. If you do not see the page, ask a workspace administrator; the program can also be unavailable for your workspace.
- Open Partner Program in the sidebar.
Join the program
- Open Partner Program.
- Read the commission percentage shown on the Become a partner card.
- Select Become a partner.
Your first referral link is created immediately, and the page switches to your partner dashboard. There is no application or approval step.
Share a referral link
The Referral links card lists every link you have. For each one you see the split (what you keep, and what the client gets back), how many clients it has brought in, and how much it has earned.
Each row shows the link’s Link and its Code, each with a copy button. To share the link, copy it from the Link line and paste it wherever you are recommending Versafy. Anyone who registers after following that link is attributed to you permanently, even if they sign up days later.
The Code works on its own too: someone who did not follow your link can select Have a partner or promo code? and type it into Partner or promo code (optional) while registering, and they are attributed to you exactly as if they had. A typed code takes precedence over any link the person followed earlier. Merchants who install the app from the Shopify App Store get the same field on the Create your Versafy account step.
Create a separate link per audience — a newsletter, a conference, a specific client — so you can tell which one actually works:
- Select New link.
- Enter a Name you will recognize later.
- Optionally enter Promo code (Optional): exactly 8 letters or numbers. Codes are not case-sensitive and must be unused. Leave it blank to generate a code automatically. A code cannot be changed after creation.
- Leave Client bonus (%) at
0, or enter the share of your commission you want the client to receive back as Versafy balance. - Choose how long that bonus lasts under Bonus applies to: Every payment, First payment only, or First N payments (then enter the Number of payments).
- Select Create link.
The dialog shows the resulting split as you type — for example, on a 20% commission with a 5% client bonus you keep 15% and the client receives 5% of each payment as balance. The bonus can never exceed your own commission. The client’s bonus credits follow the same validity as transferred earnings, counted from each payment, and show as Referral bonus in their Balance details. Your client sees the bonus terms right after signing up and on their Billing page while the bonus applies.
Use Edit to rename a link or change its bonus. The link’s code never changes, so links you have already shared keep working.
Stop using a link
Select Deactivate on a link’s row. New visitors following it are no longer attributed to you, and the link is marked Inactive. Clients already attributed to that link stay yours and keep earning — deactivating never disconnects an existing client. Select Activate to start using the link again.
Follow your earnings
The cards at the top of the page show your current Partner balance, how much you have Earned in total, Your commission percentage, and how many Referred clients you have.
Recent earnings lists every movement on your partner balance: referral commission, transfers to your wallet, and payout activity. Select Show more to page back through older entries.
A payment appears here after the client’s payment is confirmed, not when they sign up. Both subscription payments and balance top-ups earn commission.
Move earnings to your wallet
Select Transfer to wallet, enter the amount in USD, and confirm. The dialog shows the credits you receive. The money leaves your partner balance and lands on your workspace wallet immediately, where it pays for your own usage exactly like a top-up. Transfers carry no fee and no minimum.
If transferred credits have an expiry, the dialog states how long they stay valid; credits already transferred keep the date they were given. They appear as Partner earnings in Balance details, and you are notified before they expire.
Request a payout
A cash payout sends your earnings to you as money. Payouts are processed by hand, so a request is a request rather than an instant transfer.
- Select Request payout.
- Enter the amount. The dialog shows the minimum payout amount and how much you have available, and for the amount you entered: Requested, the Fee with its percentage, and what You receive.
- Confirm.
The requested amount leaves your partner balance right away and is held against the request, so plan around what stays available. You are paid the requested amount minus the fee shown before you confirmed. If the fee changes while the dialog is open, the request is not made: the dialog shows the new amounts and asks you to confirm again.
Your requests are listed in Payout requests with the amount requested, the fee, what you receive and the status:
- Pending — received, not yet paid.
- Paid — the transfer has been made.
- Rejected — declined, with the reason shown next to it. The whole requested amount returns to your partner balance automatically.
The Request payout button stays disabled until your balance reaches the minimum payout amount.
Which withdrawal methods you see
Transfer to wallet and Request payout appear only while they are available. When neither is, the page says Withdrawals are currently unavailable. Your earnings stay on your partner balance. — your balance is kept, and the options come back when they are available again.
If your partnership is suspended
A Partnership suspended message means your links no longer attribute new clients, no further commission is earned, and earnings cannot be moved to your wallet. Contact support for the reason and next steps.
If the program is unavailable
The partner program can be unavailable for a workspace: the Partner Program page disappears from the menu, your links and codes attribute nobody, and payments confirmed while it is unavailable never earn — even after the page returns. This is different from a suspended partnership, which shows a message on the page. Your balance and earnings are kept, and a pending payout request is still processed. Contact support if you expected the program to be available.
Troubleshooting
A client I referred is not counted. Attribution happens at registration, from the link they followed or the code they typed. If they registered without either, or had already registered before, they cannot be attributed afterwards.
A payment happened but nothing appeared in earnings. Commission is credited after the payment is confirmed, which can lag the client’s own confirmation slightly. A payment confirmed while your partnership was suspended or the program was unavailable for your workspace does not earn, even once it is back.
The Partner Program page is gone from the menu. The program is unavailable for your workspace (see If the program is unavailable). Contact support if you expected it.
My commission percentage changed. Percentages are set for the program and can be adjusted per partner or per link. A change applies to future payments only — everything already earned keeps the percentage it was earned at.
A client’s bonus is smaller than the link promised. The bonus can never exceed your own commission. If your commission is lowered below what a link promised, the bonus is reduced to match it.
